BLANCHE AND BUCK: A SOUTHERN GOTHIC ROMANCE
When the getaway car breaks down, Buck, Bud, Sis, and Blanche are forced to stop running long enough to face who they have become. At the center of the play is Buck, caught between the brother he cannot leave behind and the wife who believes his recent pardon from the Texas Penitentiary has finally given them a future. Their private crisis becomes public myth when a newspaper exposes their identities to the world and to the audience: this is the Barrow Gang.
